On the very first day of the camp, we started with a night training session in the rubble. In the following days, we focused primarily on forest search training and obedience, as the international exams are approaching and there’s still plenty of room for improvement in these skills. Both the handlers and the dogs threw themselves into the training with relentless enthusiasm, and the improvement in results didn’t take long to show. During lunch breaks, we, as always, took care of the maintenance of the area, which is constantly needed. A big thank you goes to Radek Sedláček, who organized and brought new exciting elements to the rubble area, such as a car wreck and an airplane. On Thursday, we had exams at Londonka, and on Friday, we dedicated the day to tracking. We must also not forget the several afternoon cadaver training sessions, which, like the final puzzle piece, complete the versatile rescue dog’s training. We all adjusted to the weekly workload, “pulled together,” and moved on to Landštejn, where we were met with the final test of the “Expedition Airfresh.”
