After a demanding period connected with organizing the World Championship, there was more than enough training at the November camp this time. We trained hard, and as always, there was a great atmosphere throughout.
As usual, there was no time to waste after arriving on Friday—we jumped straight into a night rubble search.
Saturday was clearly in a competitive spirit. The K9 Championship took place according to the rubble test of the second difficulty level under the international examination regulations. The best performance by far was delivered by handler Vendy Kopecká with her dog Artemis, who rightfully secured 1st place. Congratulations—it was a joy to watch! 🏆🐕
In the late afternoon, we shifted gears and focused on cadaver indication, an important discipline in search and rescue dog work that requires maximum precision and concentration from the dog.
We spiced up Sunday with a morning warm-up in the form of group socialization obedience. The rest of the morning belonged to the younger generation. Children from the fire brigade visited us, and we introduced them to our rubble training sites and demonstrated the work of rescue dogs in their most natural environment. Their enthusiasm, curious questions, and admiration for our four-legged partners were a wonderful finale to the whole camp. 🚒👧👦
The November training camp was not only about working with dogs, but also about cooperation, a friendly atmosphere, and time spent together. Thank you to everyone who took part and contributed!
