During the last weekend of March, we held a training camp that combined the useful with the essential – hard work and intensive training.
The main goal of the event was not only to improve the readiness of our dogs and handlers for the upcoming rescue exams, but also to upgrade our facilities for future camps and the approaching World Championship.
We started with cleaning up after a complete overhaul of the electrical and water systems, and then came the painting – whitewashing, whitewashing, and more whitewashing... A great help was Radek Sedláček’s spray gun, thanks to which we managed to cover the new clubhouse and freshly renovated rooms in just one Saturday. We also began work on expanding the kitchen and the kitchen unit, which will offer greater comfort for everyone in the future.
Despite the working marathon, we even found time for training – focused on indication work in rubble and forest areas. On Sunday, we tackled obedience training under the new trial rules.
The whole weekend was filled with a great atmosphere and determination from everyone involved. So once again – a huge thank you to all, and a collective grateful tail wag!
